Scope:
Fonds consists primarily of photographs of ships taken at Canada Rice Mills, at the Port of Vancouver, and in other locations. Also included are photographs of daily operations at Canada Rice Mills. The fonds is arranged in three series: 1. Framed photographs; 2. Loose photographs; 3. Photograph albums.
History / Biographical:
George Judd worked for a number of years as General Superintendent of Canada Rice Mills. He was an amateur photographer who made a hobby of recording shipping activity at the mill and in Vancouver.
Custodial History:
The fonds passed from George Judd to his daughter, Pamela Ascroft, who in turn donated the fonds to the City of Richmond Archives in 1991
